大地震　2011年3月11日（金）

今日の地震は凄まじかった。

11日午後、宮城、茨城で大きな地震がありました。

特に午後2時45分の宮城の地震はマグニチュード　8.9　震度では7を記録しています。

東京は震度5強だった模様。オフィスビルにヒビも入っていた。

携帯で東京の友達の家に連絡を取ろうにも繋がらないし、

メールも送れないしで安否確認できず心配になる。

とにかく皆さまのご無事をお祈りします！

被災された皆様、お見舞い申し上げます。

震源地に近いところにお住まいの皆様は、

大きな被害に遭われたことと思います。

これからしばらくの間、厳しい生活が続くと思いますが、どうか頑張ってください。


Earthquake in Tokyo

(3-11-2011) A massive 8.9 magnitude quake hit northeast Japan on Friday,

causing many injuries, fires and a four-metre tsunami along parts of the country's coastline.


My heartfelt sympathy to all the people of Japan who are affected by this disaster.

It takes about an hour or more to finish.

I went early to Straits Quay and set up my stall.

Wine glass charms, pendants, bracelets and necklace chains.

Margaret's handmade paper boxes, gift pockets and accessories.

今月、お客さんは先月より少ない。
しかし、市では、お客さまや、出店者の方と
お話できるのが楽しみの一つで、
知ったお顔を見ると、
ちょこっとでも声をかけて言葉を交わしたくなります。

今回マゲレトさんと一緒に出店しました。
マゲレトさんの手作りギフトボックスとアクセサリーはとても可愛いです。

This month we have some new items at our stall.
Margaret's beautiful handmade gift boxes and accessories.
Business is a bit slow these 2 days as all holidaymakers have gone back to
their hometown compared to last month with many overseas and outstation
customers who came back to celebrate New Year.

One of the longest running traditions in the Japanese culture is called the Hinamatsuri, or Japanese Doll Festival. ...
This festival is celebrated each year on March 3rd.
It is an important event, especially for families with daughters.
Picture shown is hina ningyo which are decorated in my living room today.

Today got up late ....took a slice of bread and drove to Upper Penang Road.

Sunday is fine, no traffic jam....

The weather was very hot ....... extremely hot

I was sweating and having sauna from 10 am onwards.

Despite the hot weather, there are many visitors coming to the craft market.

Business was good for most of the vendors.

A big THANK YOU to all the customers who came to visit LPSM

and customers who had bought some of my handicrafts.

This give me lots of encouragement and inspiration to make more new things.

A New Year present from Michelle, my second daughter.
Apple iPod touch
The feature I used most is Facetime.
Facetime enable both parties to see each other face to face while chatting.
I have Facetime with my 5th sister, Christine from Fremont, California
almost everyday.
She showed me what she has done, beading of course and I showed her
what I was doing at the moment. It's very fun.
I have baby-talk with Michelle's daughter, Kara who is 2 years old and
Cherrie, 5 years old from Adelaide.
I would like to have Facetime with my craft friends who are in different parts of the world.
