今日、今年初めクラフトマケット出店の展示の様です。きっと暑いけど、
がんばりますよお ..(<_>) 。 パッチワークとフェルトの作品は友達
メーリンさんの手つくりもの。この手づくり市は毎月最後の日曜日に行なります。

Today was the first time myself and May Ling joined the Little Penang
Sunday Market which is held on every last Sunday of the month.
The weather was quite cool in the morning but was very hot in the
afternoon.

Bought this last year and finally finished today. This kit contains yellow
precious stones and SW5301.

今日縮緬のお手玉のレッソンで作りましたの兎ちゃん。赤いのは先生の
作品です。隣のは私作ったのものです。

Otedama made from Japanese kimono material, Chirimen.
The pink one is made by the Japanese teacher and the white one is by me.

Thai Beading Book タイ語ビーズの本

タイに買ったの本です。タイ語は全然わからない。
この雑誌はビーズのパターンが少し載せています。日本のスタイル
と少し似ています。

A Thai magazine. There are a few beading designs inside this
book. Though I cannot understand Thai at all, the accessories
are very beautiful and quite similar to Japanese beading designs.

Birds, and Bees & Butterflies..

I have been quite slacking in my beading. It has been almost 6 months since I worked on any real projects. I thought I'd forget how to decipher those right angle weave, or those thingamajigs, with a red and blue line weaving from point a -> z. My eyes were glazed over when I opened up a kit that my sis gave me during my trip to Penang in July09. She is ever so generous. Even I said "No" to some of the "bling-bling" she insisted on giving me (yes, malu to take so much from her), yet when I am back and opened my luggage, there it is, surprise from her. She just stuffed it in. Thanks sis. [blushing] I finally managed to get my act together (didnt want to dissapoint my sis, that I am such a slack student), I did made something. The beer mug is done, and some others too. I love the butterfly pendant. It is so easy to make. For someone like me who is always trying to find time - hard to juggle btw my beading life, family time, work, and watching korean dramas, I have to do something fast, easy, and most of all must be v cantik too. -- one has to be kiasu no matter what. that's one of my mottos - or survival in life. These pics were taken by my 13yr old daughter using her DSI. The resolution is not that high, and quite pixelated. But it serves it purpose. I have made two more butterflies - using olivine and ruby this morning. It turned out quite charming. That's it - will be xmas gifts. The honey bee is quite charming too...
okay, no birds yet .. the kits are still in Penang! .. is ladybug a bird?

This is a lovely mini beer mug. The original design is from Hobbix, Japan.
Not so difficult to make...Look quite similar to the original one....**0.0**

This is the first time I made a beaded gown. The kit was ordered from Tutu Beads from Japan.

The other 2 smaller gowns were done last year.

It took quite a long time as I need to 'study' the recipe before I start.

Mini Gown Book /ビーズで編むプチドレス

Now I am absorbed in making mini gowns. Got this book at Popular Book
Shop. I got the silver and black torsos from Japan.
As all the recipes are in table instrustions, it will be very tough for me.

Fuchsia SW 6090 necklace/スワロフスキー6090 ネックレス

My sis Mei Ooi ordered this kit from Beads Factory, Japan. Since she is in US now, I make this

necklace using her recipe but my own beading materials. The color of the triangle 2.5mm beads is slightly difference from the original kit. It took me one whole day to finish cos the round parts are very small.

2ヶ月前、米国の妹がBeads Factoryに注文いただいていたネックレス。私は自分の材料で作りました。スワロフスキー6090、5301 と 5203 (キットは5500) で作りました。

One, two, and three...

I made not one, not two, but three pendants!

Was browsing thru some trinkets at a departmental store, the far end corner of my eyes caught something sparkling. These pendants, (in crystals and light amethyst colors) were selling for USD90! Cheapo me, or rather

crafty me, *smarty* me [wink wink], decided to make it me-self. It is quite simple to make,

not a lot of SW, and string it thru an 18" sterling silver necklace. So here they are. Pretty maids in a row. In fact, I made two whilst riding on the train on my way to work. Call it time management, or kiasu-ness in me. I am capitvated with it. Great gifts too.

Finally, after all the gruelling and head scratchings,

It has been a while since I last posted.

Summer is over and it is Fall now. Days are

getting shorter and nights longer.

I hope I can find the time to do beadings,

as there are quite a few things that I would

like to make for my bestest friends for Christmas.

Work is taking up so much of my time. I know,

it is not healthy. I have to find a balance. Yet,

it is easier said than done indeed.
