Sashiko meaning literally little stabs, is a traditional Japanese embroidery technique.
Traditionally it is worked in light thread on Japanese indigo cloth, to produce some amazingly complex and beautiful designs.
This is my first completed embroidery which I started ? years back.
Stitching bit by bit in my spare time between beading and other handicrafts.
Worked on one single red color sashiko thread on white cotton material.
Sashiko stitching is very time consuming actually.
